Modellen er udviklet til at gengive forståelige informationer via undervisning af patienterne, f.eks. inden operativt indgreb. Denne viser det højre hofteled af en ældre person i naturlig størrelse. Ydermere vises et udsnit af lårbenshalsen frontalt. Modellen viser de meste forekommende typer af lårbenets knoglebrud i praksis, og også andre symptomer i hofteleddet som slidgigt ( coxarthrosis eller osteoarthritis). Følgende frakturer er demonstreret:

Brud medialt på lårbenshalsen
Brud lateralt på lårbenshalsen
Brud mellem lille og store lårbenskno ( Fractura pertrochanterica)
Brud i øverste del af lårbensskaftet ( Fractura subtrochanterica )
Brud på lårbenshovedet
Brud på det større trochanter (trochanter major)
Brud på eller avulsion af det mindre trochanter ( avulsion fraktur af trochanter minor )

This model was developed to provide patients understandable information, e.g. before surgery. It shows the right hip joint of an elderly person in half natural size. In addition, a frontal section through the femoral neck is shown in relief on the base. The model shows the femoral fractures that occur most commonly in practice as well as typical wear and tear symptoms of the hip joint (coxarthrosis or hip osteoarthritis). The following fractures are shown:

- Medial femoral neck fracture
- Lateral femoral neck fracture
- Fracture through the trochanteric region (pertrochanteric femoral fracture)
- Fracture below the trochanters (subtrochanteric femoral fracture)
- Femoral shaft fracture
- Femoral head fracture
- Fracture of the greater trochanter
- Fracture or avulsion of the lesser trochanter (avulsion fracture of the lesser trochanter)
